About us
Rachael Vint
My name is Rachael Vint and I started Strip to Fit 3 years ago in a small studio on the back of another dancer's home. I started out with 2 classes and quickly grew to 8 classes before moving to a local community center. We have now grown again and worked hard to launch Eccentric Studios.
I trained in classical ballet for 13 years. I was injured in a wreck and then several dancing related accidents later I relinquished my dreams of being a professional ballet dancer. I began doing Yoga regularly mixed with some Pilates after the birth of my second child. I realized very quickly that my husband was constantly raving about how "sexy" my stretching was. The stretches I loved from ballet were the same ones I was learning in yoga class. Only I wasn't learning them for the first time, I was simply learning how to breathe while stretching. When Strip Tease began to be a hot new dance craze, I knew it was something I could do. Combining my dance expierence, my love for yoga and stretching and my skill for making a simple move "sexy" have propelled Strip to Fit into an entirly new realm. I have found this is an easy form of dance, without being physically demanding. New choreography every month allows something new to learn all the time. .
I have been moving and stretching my entire life, over that time I grasp the sexiness of the basic stretch. There is this great moment when you stop worrying about how you look and just relax into a pose or a stretch, when you get there, it is its own sexiness. Just the release brings the body into a beautiful place. Now we take that spot, that place of release and move. From pose to step a new piece of choreography emerges. One day I realized this is the same stuff I have been using to stretch myself for years, and I could teach others how. Lots of people ask me if I was a stripper, and I was not. I have gone to a club or two, but I was never a stripper. But trust me, those girls work, the moves are a great workout and the woman's body naturally wants to move this "direction". Strip Tease, whether fast and cardio, or slow and stretchy, is not a great strain on the body and incredibly fun. My years as a dancer, and learning to work to the strengths of my body give me a wealth of experience that moves classes along effectively. We get the best workout and learn the best routines.
I really love helping women to explore how beautiful and sexy they really are. I hope you will grab your sexiest pair of heels and join a class! I promise this is not your typical excercise class.

My name is Kyra Bailey and I started taking Strip to Fit dance classes in the summer of 2006. I very quickly fell in love with this fun and flirty workout. I was an unlimited student after my first class. I was totally hooked! It is so great when you find a workout where you have fun, meet new people and reach your fitness goals. Strip to Fit was exactly that for me. I have always loved to dance and although I have had gym memberships in the past, I’m not really into machines, weights, step classes and the like. After paying for memberships but never using them and after hearing about an episode of Oprah, I searched online for an exotic dance or pole class in Memphis. I came across an article in the Commercial Appeal and the rest is history. I lost a total of 40 pounds by choosing to go with Strip to Fit’s unlimited package and by following proper diet. It’s been a great way to increase my flexibility plus it’s also a great cardio workout. After exotic dancing, conquering pole dancing was next on my list and I have found that it is very challenging but also a fun way to get into the best shape of your life and increase your overall strength. Learning new tricks and spins is so much fun. Don’t forget the part about getting in touch with the inner sexy goddess that lies within all of us! Exotic dance and pole dancing offers a woman much more than a great workout. It also leaves you with a sense of freedom and empowerment. I love watching friendships form, shells being broken, the physical transformations and confidence boosts women get from class. No, this is not your typical workout but trust me every woman can do it.
